How do I fit reading practice into the before bed?

Reading is the skill the before-bed slot fits most naturally, because the slot is already shaped like reading: still, quiet, screen dimmed, attention narrowing toward sleep. The Set asks for a short passage and a few inference questions, which is gentler than a feed and replaces it cleanly. You read, you answer, you stop. The habit it protects is reading a whole thing closely instead of skimming a summary of it.

  1. How is a nightly reading rep different from reading in bed already? Casual bedtime reading rarely checks whether you understood; these reps do.
